Camp
Trask CAMP TRASK is a unique and very special place. Located in Monrovia Canyon, it is literally only minutes from millions of people, but when you are in camp, it seems like you are millions of miles away from people! The silence in camp is broken only by the sound of the year-round stream which flows through camp. There are no city lights, so you can see the stars at night. There are lots of reasons to come to Trask: The new dining hall, the great pool, the outdoor amphitheater where you can watch movies, the lake, the jungle ride, the tree house and hiking trails. We will focus on Tenderfoot and Second Class scout skills on this trip. The troop's Philmont Crew will be using Camp Trask as a base camp for a prep-hike in the San Gabriel Mountains. The Philmont Crew will camp with the troop on Friday night, then hike out on Saturday morning, returning to camp on Sunday morning. Saturday night's camp will be on the trail in a suitable location.
