Health Forms: PLEASE
TURN IN FORMS no later than JUNE 30th to Cathie Salai
Prescription Medications: ALL PRESCRIPTION MEDS must be given to Mr. Lovdahl in pharmacy-issue bottle with instructions. The dispensing of meds will be done by camp staff and Mr. Lovdahl must turn all meds & instructions for each boy in upon arrival.
Swim Checks: Will be done on Monday morning. No wetsuits, goggles, etc.
Camp Schedule: The schedule at camp is normally morning for merit badges and advancement and then the afternoon is "free time" to be used to enjoy all the other activities that the camp has to offer. Monday is reversed (morning/afternoon) due to swim checks in the morning, and Wednesday is "Hike Day" where everyone goes on a day-hike on the island.
Merit Badges: A merit badge list has been provided to each scout so that he can plan for the MB's that he would like to work on. No advance sign-up is necessary.
What to take to camp:
Use the provided packing list as guidance. BRING
SUNSCREEN, water bottles and HATS!
Packing Gear: Use duffel bags. Internal packs are OK, but unnecessary for use on the island. All gear must be tagged with a red ribbon and a tag with our troop number and the letters “CCV”. We will need to make these tags up prior to July 27 and distribute to all who are going.
Fishing poles must be packed in protective cases (tubes) and marked as all other troop gear.
Telephones: Cell Phones may not work well from camp. Do Not send cell phones with boys. There is a public phone which ONLY allows calls using calling cards.
The EMERGENCY NUMBER at camp is (310)510-2895.

Money: Each scout should have enough money for the project supplies for merit badges (woodcarving, basketry kits, etc) and a few snacks to keep energy up (as if that were a problem). One of the troop adult leaders will be designated “The Banker” and will hold the money for each scout so that it is not misplaced during the week. Usually about $30-$35 is plenty for supplies, candy and a tee-shirt.
